Day 38 ♥ Happiness is performing Puja

Happiness is performing Puja!

Happiness is performing puja. In the world of science, where everything and anything is explained by science, performing puja to God or speaking about it is often considered illiteracy. However, many people still post festive greetings and blessings on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. While it is okay to trust in God, it is important not to blindly trust or perform actions that are against humanity. Happy festival time!

What’s your thought on this? Share your experience. Spread Love!

And here is a small poem dedicated to Vidhya…

Love is to me,
Like Puja is to God.
The more we involve,
The more happiness we find!

Day 35 ♥ Happiness is clicking selfies while stuck in traffic.

Happiness is clicking selfies while stuck in traffic!

Happiness is clicking selfies while stuck in traffic. Traveling to my hometown is always exciting, but it comes with its challenges like traffic, pollution, stress, and hunger. To overcome these challenges, we clicked selfies, shared jokes, and watched movies while stuck in traffic.

I'm sure that in today's world, it is difficult to avoid traffic altogether. Share your experiences with me. Let's spread love!

And here is a small poem dedicated to Vidhya…

Let's click a selfie
While stuck in traffic or wherever,
But make sure not to overdo it;
Life is easy, so let's keep it simple.

Let's be in love,
Even when we fight, or whenever,
But make sure not to overdo it;
Love makes life beautiful!

Day 34 ♥ Happiness is wearing ethnic wear.

Happiness is wearing ethnic wear!

Happiness is wearing ethnic wear. Whenever we wear traditional garments like silk dhoti and sari, we feel good and we are proud of our culture. It also creates a positive and festive atmosphere. Such is the power of traditional clothing! So, next time you get the opportunity to wear ethnic attire, do so. If possible, opt for handloom fabrics to support local artisans.

Ethnic or western, what’s your take? Share your thoughts. Spread Love!

And here is a small poem dedicated to Vidhya…

Dhoti and sari,
A classic combination.
You and me,

Day 32 ♥ Happiness is receiving compliment for the beard

Happiness is receiving compliment for the beard!

Happiness is receiving a compliment for my beard. In my eight years in IT, there have been many occasions where I was appreciated for my working style and the quality of my deliverables. At times, people have even appreciated my blog and creative short stories. However, for the first time, a colleague stopped at my desk and complimented my beard style. He also revealed that he has tried to imitate my style, but he is unable to do it by himself as it's a bit tricky. I thanked him, and he asked me which salon I went to for my beard. I smiled and told him that I did it myself. A couple of my other colleagues joined us, and he was very eager to know if I used a trimmer or a shaver. He later asked me where I learned to trim my beard, and I told him about the video channel I watch and recommended that he purchase a good trimmer. Our conversation then turned to different topics on hairstyles and beard trimming.

Growing beard is an art. It requires patience, dedication and time. Of course, tools and basic knowledge on beard styles.

Day 31 ♥ Happiness is receiving a parcel from UK

Happiness is receiving a parcel from UK!

Happiness is receiving a parcel from the UK. The love for the dress I bought in 2012 for my 25th birthday (I still use it) is the main reason I asked my friend to purchase and send a white shirt and light grey pant from the UK. He accepted the request and bought the dress of my choice last month and sent it through his friend to Bangalore. I expected the parcel to reach me by early October, but later I forgot due to my hectic work schedule.

This morning, I received a call from an unknown number, informing me about the parcel that was sent by my friend and asking me to collect it from Lemon Tree. I happily went there to collect the parcel. The man who handed it over to me is my friend's friend, a very down-to-earth person. I thanked him and we exchanged smiles before I returned to the office. As soon as I reached my cabin, I opened the parcel. Seeing the premium white shirt – what class! – and my favorite light grey pant, I was overjoyed. I called my friend on his mobile and thanked him. We spoke for five minutes, recalling the time we spent in Hamburg. I am a very happy man!

Have you received the parcel of happiness? Share your experience. Spread Love!

And here is a small poem dedicated to Vidhya…

My bundle of happiness;
You mix my life
With love and joy!

My bundle of joy;
You multiply my life
With sweet memories!

You charge my life
With positive thoughts!

Happiness is talking with friends on Skype. I'm very happy today because I got to Skype with a friend and his family all the way from Germany to Bangalore. We talked about all kinds of topics, from the weather to the flea market, with full energy and happiness. And, I always love how these conversations can last for hours without any specific agenda.

Think about your favorite conversations with close ones. Share your experience and spread love!

And here is a small poem dedicated to Vidhya…

Happiness is eating at a Kerala restaurant! I used to avoid eating fish because of the bones, but I've learned to appreciate the health benefits of fish and now enjoy it boneless. One of my favorite places to eat fish is at a Kerala restaurant because they always prepare it perfectly.

Do you love fish? If so, what is your favorite type? Share your experience. Spread love!

To Your Mighty Pen

Looking over the limitless sky
and the clouds passing by
In that fleeting moment
I realized life's secret endowment

Season changes and mood swings
With the setting sun rests the bird's wings
The horizon converge to close its eyes
Draping the black blanket it winks and sighs

The moon then wraps to wake sun up to see
Birds taking another flight and so do we
Time falls short for us to give love and receive
Only if we could learn from the nature to believe

An entrance is only possible after an exit
Keep patience until it turns and exhibit
Things broken apart would come together
Flaunt your mighty pen. May come whatever

Day 27 ♥ Happiness is Celebrating Blog Birthday!

Happiness is Celebrating Blog Birthday!

Never did I think that I would be celebrating the seventh birthday of my blog when I started writing under the pen name "Someone is Special" on this wonderful platform. It feels like just yesterday that I launched the blog on October 20, 2009, using the free internet service available at my office. Time has flown by so quickly! The journey from an unknown writer to the best selling author of multiple books and editor of the Shades of Life book series has been an exciting one, and I hope this journey continues for eternity.

This would not have been possible without the constant support of many sweethearts. I have thanked them countless times, but I would like to thank them again. I would like to start by thanking my wonderful wife and sweet mother for always being there for me, no matter what happens in life. I also want to thank my other family members, close friends, and all the editors I have worked with – from Vinit Bhai (Uff Ye Emotions 2 editor) to all the sweethearts with whom I have worked so far, as well as all my publishers and Sachin.

I also want to thank my blogger friends who have been with me from the beginning – Leo, Zainab, Rachana, Jingle, Simran, Ayushi, Pranali, Aish, TF, Saru, Brian, G-Man, Amity, Vibz, Nanka, Scribbling Gal, Dreamy Girl, Cloud Nine, Sri Valli, Panchali, Norman, Ellecee, Sulaiman, Namrata, Anita, and all my anonymous readers, whose emails I always treasure the most. Without your support, I would not have written posts here. Thank you all!

My roommates (Arun, Deva, Raghu, Siva TK, Sridhar, Vivek, Mohan, Manoj, Atul, Kiran, Aamir, Revanth, and Karthik) have suffered through many torturous nights listening to my idiotic romantic stories, but still provided feedback to make them better. Thank you all. My managers (Saji, Patro, Moses, Rachel, Kittu, KV, and all my colleagues) have trusted my talent and given me opportunities despite knowing that I am a regular writer at night. Thanks :)

Special thanks to IndiBlogger for the grand platform, to Blog-a-Ton for everything I own from them, and to BlogAdda for announcing my name to the blogosphere in 2010. Thanks to Google for providing the blogger service for free and for indexing all my posts.

Ah! How could I forget you, dear Few Miles? A part of me resides inside you and that is what is loved by most of my readers, and is cherished as the undisputed romantic king of the blogosphere. You are my best gift, and my gift to you will be an unending relationship with you, no matter how big or popular I grow in life.

Thank you all for making this journey special!

Remember the first day you started writing. Share your old-gold memories. Spread love!

Day 17 ♥ Happiness is taking bath in a well.

Happiness is taking bath in a well!

Happiness is taking a bath in a well. Recently, after almost three decades, my parents and grandparents visited their native village at our request. We booked a mini bus and set off early in the morning. It took us two hours to reach the main village, where we prayed to the gods. Later, we went inside the village and met many of my parents' friends. They started telling stories from the past and how things have changed beyond recognition. We saw tears of happiness and sadness. After we had lunch, we visited the rice and sugarcane fields and finally jumped into the well to take a bath. It was an amazing feeling! My brother dived deep into the water more than ten times from the top of the well, while we climbed onto the mithagu (rock stone) and splashed around in the water. We took many pictures, which I will upload soon.

Have you ever jumped into a well and enjoyed a fresh bath? Share your experience with us. Spread love!

Happiness is Shopping in Weekend Sandhai -market!

Happiness is shopping in the weekend sandhai (market). Whenever we visit Tirupati, we like to shop in the Renigunta Sandhai - an open market where you can buy all sorts of vegetables, fruits, dried seafood, and household items. We usually buy karuvadu (dry fish), which my mom and wife love, and we also buy fruits and household items at affordable prices. It was fun to shop at each and every shop, talking in Telugu and Tamil, bargaining on the price, and buying so many items for less than a few hundred bucks. I didn't bring my phone with me because the battery was dead when we started, so I don't have any pictures.

This reminds me of the Thursday market in Husum, Germany, where I used to go with my customer to buy vegetables and fruits. Have you ever visited a sandhai? Share your experience with us. Spread love!

Day 12 ♥ Happiness is Reading a New Book!

Happiness is Reading a New Book!

Happiness is the excitement of reading a new book. It's like meeting new people, travelling to the most favourite tourist destination, riding a bike with a complete stranger, or whatever and it depends on people. To me it is like meeting new people, getting to know them, and living their lives through the characters in the book. Such is my love for book!

Choosing a new book based on the blurb, reviews, and ratings, and finally deciding to buy it, is a great feeling. Sometimes, as a book reviewer, I receive author-signed copies, which is a special feeling. But what happened today was even more satisfying. A colleague and his friend came to me in the morning and gave me a book called "Confession of a Buddhist Atheist" by Stephen Batchelor, saying that they weren't sure what kind of books I liked, but based on my writing, they thought I would enjoy something outside of my usual genre. I was really touched and thanked them from the bottom of my heart. If I've to echo their words, here you go...

“We are not sure what kind of book you read, but from your writing we can very well understand that you love romance. So we thought why not gift a book from a genre that’s totally opposite to what you read and gave me a book – Confession of a Buddhist Atheist by Stephen Batchelor.”

I glowed in happiness and thanked them from my heart and soul. I'm looking forward to starting the book tonight and writing a review once I finish..

Before starting a book, I usually feel a mix of excitement and anticipation. I'm eager to dive into the story and see what it has in store for me. After completing the book, I typically feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. If the book was particularly good, I may also feel a sense of longing as I come to the end of the story and have to say goodbye to the characters and world that the book has introduced me to. How will you feel before starting a book? And after completing a book? Post in the comment section!

And here is a small poem dedicated to Vidhya…

Books excites me within,
Just like you do to me;
When every time I feel upset,
You make me feel happy!

The characters live inside,
And make me smile and cry;
Like you rule my heart,
And make me go mad in love!

Happiness is taking a pout selfie. In today's world, it seems like everyone is taking selfies and sharing them on social media. If you enjoy taking pout selfies, feel free to share one or comment with a link to your favorite pout selfie. Remember to always be respectful and considerate when sharing photos online, and make sure to get permission from anyone who is in the photo with you before posting..

And here is a small poem dedicated to Vidhya…

When you smile or pout,
It transports me to a world;
Where I live in your breath,
And we speak love!

When we speak love,
An invisible thread binds us;
Which we cherish the most,
And we become one!

The day was ecstatic! One of my colleagues - whom I have never interacted with - walked into my cabin and began to praise my writing. He mentioned specific poems, stories, one-liners and quotes that he had read, including some that were featured on websites like WordPorn.com and "15 love quotes that are better than saying I miss you." He also mentioned my websites and the titles of various works, such as "The Last Date," "Down Memory Lane," "120 Minutes," "I'm All Yours," "Ithalgal," and "Eleventh Hour." He expressed admiration for my versatility in writing across genres like horror, romance, thriller, and exotica. I was overjoyed to receive such detailed and thoughtful appreciation from an unknown colleague, and it truly made my day. Thanks to him for the kind words and making my day awesome!

And here is a small poem dedicated to Vidhya…

Dear, oh dear,
When you are near;
There is no fear,
Do I need an extra cheer?

Dear, oh dear,
Year after year;
We do not need tears,
When life is all clear!

Love, oh love,
I write only about love;
Or a bouquet of love,
Always at bay!

Day 9 ♥ Happiness is window shopping.

Happiness is window shopping. I am sure most of us will agree. Otherwise each one of us will go bankrupt by the 5th of every month. Shopping and window shopping is a big difference. There is no need to think if I can go inside and check out the clothes or items, or will the shopkeeper shout at me? What if the size does not fit, should I come back from home after trying it on once?

Thanks to new day malls and food courts; they have changed the trend. Get inside, stay in the air-conditioned mall, roam around, eat what you prefer, shop what you like, watch a movie at any time without worrying about "houseful" boards, and most importantly spend time with the family without getting bored. And that's why I like window shopping a lot!

Time for a movie! PINK! #instapic #movieday #movietime #fun #blackandwhite #photoofheday #beardlover #newjourney #dailypic #pink

And here is a small poem dedicated to Vidhya…

Selfie and you,
My fascination;
Colour or monochrome,
I cherish it the most!

No filters required,
I like true colours;
Did I mention? Yes,
We are a cute couple!

Day 8 ♥ Happiness is visiting historic temples.

Happiness is visiting historic temples

Happiness is visiting historic temples. It’s been a long time since we visited any historic temples. Today, my wife, my friend and I went to Sri Big Bull Temple in Basavanagudi. We reached Central Silk Board Junction around 10 AM and took a cab from there to the temple. Alternatively, you can also go till Banashankari and take a cab from there. We arrived at the temple around 10:30 AM. First, we went to Sri Dodda Ganapati Temple. I’ve never seen such a huge Ganapati idol. It was a great experience. After spending 30 minutes there, we walked to the Bull Temple, which is right next to the Ganapati Temple.

I have no words to describe the calmness inside the temple. The beautifully decorated, huge Nandi (Bull), the green surroundings, and the very friendly pujaris added to the experience. We spent a good amount of time there and came out of the temple to take some photographs. We even shopped outside the temple. It was a calm and serene place.

And here is a small poem dedicated to Vidhya…

What do I say?
How can I tell you?
My love is only for you,
Love and love only!
