Friendship- Bonds Beyond Time, was an unexpected opportunity blessed by the Publisher, my first compilation. The date of the project got delayed because of bad printers who never understood the word “deadline”. Once we have our hands on it, we will SPAM the Facebook timelines posting pictures of it.

Coming to the "Colors Different Shades Of Life" contest, the results were read by Ganesha, making all the winners fly to Seventh Heaven.

“Well Begun Is Half Done” That I second. We’ve started well, now we’ve to carry the good work we did. The hard work we did is well appreciated by all… be it the response to emails, prompt replies to the Facebook Messages, the #Entry photographs, the #Teasers, the Ganesha, the Winners and Guest Authors list, we did our best. We’re very Happy!

To be true, we rocked the Facebook on September 17, thanks to all the winners! Here’s a glimpse of it.

I’ve to concentrate on compiling, editing and printing the book. Blurb, winners and guest authors list, Publisher, Editor and other required details are shared with our designer. I am hoping to release the book cover soon, and I am planning to release the book on Jan 1st. (Tentative).

The next big news is a surprise. Vidhya and I, are working on the same. It is actually ready, but before releasing it to public, we want to make sure everything is in place and is working fine. Here’s a teaser…

From My Heart - Without You

I am bad at opening a blog post or a short story. Most of the times, I open with a quote, and support the quote with my points. Not this time...

This week is going to be really special, for bloggers, for authors, and for readers. As I said in my last post, my focus got shifted from blogging to books and manuscripts. My next anthology, my first compilation, Friendship Bonds Beyond Time: a collection of twenty-five wonderful stories, is going to be released on September 17, 2015, Ganesh Chathurthi. The book will be available on Flipkart and Amazon. Support all the authors published in the book. Please buy the book, read all the stories, and share your feedback with us.

The results of my second compilation "Colors Different Shades Of Life" will be out on the same day. Thanks to Shades Publications for the wonderful support. I thank the guest authors for their contribution and I wish good luck to all the entrants.

Another good news: Shades Publications will launch their website on the same day. It is going to be a very BIG DAY for all of us! I am looking forward to it.

Storizen, an online magazine, has come up with a new campaign “How did you conceive?”. The campaign is good, and it is picking up slowly. I read a few response and I found Adite Banerjie’s response and Shobhan Bantwal’s response engaging. In case, if you like the concept, do send in your response and get featured.

A Software Engineer’s life is not a happy tale to be printed in words, as he or she has to undergo a lot of troubles to sustain in the industry. Here is a cry which I scribbled a year back inspired by a few people here. And this poem has been published in Storizen.

From My Heart - Life is Beautiful

It's been close to two months, since I published a post. My focus shifted from blogging to reading/selecting short stories for the upcoming anthology - Friendship Bonds Beyond Time: a collection of twenty-five wonderful stories. I am even working on three secret projects. That's how our teams want to call them. I shall spill the beans once we get into print.

I enjoyed writing short stories, still I felt void inside my heart. A void I could not explain in words. A void because of the longing for feedback and comments for my work, and to read fellow blog posts. I sent my works to a few close friends for review, and I received feedback, which solaced my heart, yet I felt I should write a post on my blog.

Vidhya and I went on a trip to Switzerland for five days, visited famous cities and places (Lucerne, Engelberg, Mt. Titlis (We went to the top of Mt. Titlis and made video calls on Skype to my Parents and Vidhya's Parents), Grindalwald, Interlaken, Swiss Caves, Unterseen and Rhine Falls) and posted photos on Facebook. I shall post my experience soon, a travelogue after a long time!

Here I am, yet another time, planning to regularly post quotes, poems and excerpts of my work in progress. I hope this will help me overcome the void I feel inside.

Will I be able to succeed? I will leave it to time to answer.

Friendship

"Friendship is not Hi bye, life" - Six Word Saturday

“Wow! What a day it was”, It taught me what is life, I mean Friendship. Just 8 hours ago I, Adithi, Rachana and Rahul, the fabulous four idiots started to our favourite place. We visit this place atleast once in a month to enjoy and share our thoughts. But today we had a different experience and I decided to pen down it as Friendship.

Me: Hey guys, be careful as these are slippery mountain areas.

Adithi: Please clutch your hands with the one next to you.

Let’s enjoy this trip to the max as we had never enjoyed before. Wooooh... Ahhhh............. Friends..... Forever.............., I was shouting like anything and so the rest; we were enjoying the climate and the beauty of nature. God is the Real Nature Admirer because he created it with beauty and risk in equal proportion.

Rahul: Hey guys this is a dangerous place so be careful.

Me: Hah stop you stupid guy; always you are worried about life. See, life is an interesting game, so enjoy the next second with zillions of smiles and billions of risk. “Life is so little done, so much to do”, so enjoy each and every moment of it.

Rahul sounded angrily, “Ok Hero, Let’s carry on”...

But in seconds I slipped, shouted, “Hey... Hey... Hey..... Guys...” and rolled with Adithi as we both had our hands clutched. I was pensive, didn’t react any but rolled with her and almost reached the edge of the mountain. Thank God, Adithi held a half cut tree’s root in one hand and in the other I was hanging. Those moments were very crucial as it was between life and death. In about ten minutes Rachana and Rahul came with the rope and helped us to reach a safe place nearby. We hugged each other thanked God as we escaped with little wounds.

Rachana: Wow! What a beautiful place is this?

Rahul: Let me add some more treasures...

Me: You are mad, super mad...

Rahul once again sounded angrily, “Am I?” God created nature for us to admire and enjoy the beauty, See how beautiful the Nature is, a bridge with some missing steps with an unknown destiny, reflections of the trees, shrubs and the mountain, these are priceless man, and you can’t buy these with money. I know you love it but just for teasing me don’t sound stupid…

Me: Just kidding dear, let’s click and enjoy…

We all danced, shouted and enjoyed a memorable one… Almost an hour done, we enjoyed but we never know the way to get back to parking places. Somehow we managed to get back to the car.

Rahul: Wow, what a beautiful experience?

Rachana: We enjoyed a lot guys, super nature…

Adithi: A wonderful experience…

I just kept quiet knowing that they are waiting for my word. I started the car, accelerated, paused for some time and said, “I learnt what life is, I mean Friendship – Life Long Friendship”. I would say, “Friendship is not Hi bye, life”
