A memorable online shopping experience madness!

“When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it” – says Paulo Coelho. I agree!

It’s not every day you find someone whom you can befriend with. When you find someone precious, you cannot miss him or her in your life. He or she may be younger or older to you, fair or dark to your eyes, near or far from where you live, or whatever, still they are precious as your friend or sometime you cannot tag a label, and you so wanted to gift him or her as a gift, for what and who they are to you. I have a few close to my heart but she is a special one, actually a little one, with whom I share a special bond – a precious invisible bond to bind us! She is such a sweetie!

In early days, people used dove to send very small gifts and as a messenger; in 80’s, people used telegram for sending short messages, and posts for sending small gifts, before a decade back people bought gifts for their precious ones and couriered them. A few years back, people found a solution for their problems and tagged it as ‘Online Shopping’ – The one stop solution for all your needs! They named the solution as ‘eBay’, ‘FlipKart’, ‘snapdeal’, ‘Qvendo’, ‘Pringoo’, etc. I love the second and third always, as I’d my best experience with them. If online shopping was not there, I’d not have been able to gift ma sweet one. In fact, that’s my first real online shopping experience after Pringoo, which my friend did on behalf of me – a sweet memorable experience :)

This incident happened thirteen months ago, and all thanks to Mohinee of Gurukripa for hosting Grand Patriotic Poetry contest and inviting to judge the contest! It was a fantastic experience to judge the contest with poetic greats. Glad and blessed to judge an entry by Aadarneeya Ms. Swarna Kaurji and it is none other than the Grandmother of my little one! As I promised during the initial announcement, I wanted to send gifts, but how can I send gifts to Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh? I wondered!

That’s when my roommate introduced FlipKart. It sounded like Greek and Spanish to me! ‘What? How? Are you sure?’ Puzzled I was, and the solution was simple. In fact, I was amazed by the collection they had under each category and variety. I learnt about the best deals, offers and what not – Online shipping itself is the best gift invented by a human for humans!

Quickly, I browsed the catalogue of books and selected books of my choice keeping Grandma in mind. I added the books, “Gitanjali - Rabindranath Tagore”, “My Experiments With Truth : An Autobiography - Mahatma Gandhi”, “Anna Hazare - The Fakir Who Moved A Country” and “Love On The Rocks - Ismita Tondon Dhanker” to my cart and checked out for payment. I found two options for payment and I’d to choose Online Payment :( My hands shivered to make an online payment and I had no other choice :( so I did make an online payment after confirming for the umpteenth time about the integrity of the site with my friend. Still I was not convinced, so I took a screen shot of the same for my reference and emailed little one too :)

I was so worried about the quality of the products, though it was books and it has to be delivered to Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. A week had gone by peeping into my laptop for an email from Little One, but finally, it took ten days to reach Gorakhpur. I was the happiest man in the world to know that the books reached them in very good condition and Little One, her Parents and Grandma were happy, a lot in fact.

But what made the experience so memorable was the reaction of Little One and Grandma. The below text was taken from Little One’s Blog post.

I'm sharing here so late almost after 3 months about my so special gift I received from my Special One, Saravana! There was a Grand Patriotic Poetry Contest organised by dear friend Mohinee. In this contest, I submitted my Sweet Granny's poem हित अपने देश का. And when the result declared my granny and me started dancing with excitement because her poem was selected the best by Someone is Special! Then I lived that moment brought happiness to her. I saw something that I'd never seen before... tears in her eyes! But they were of joy, excitement and satisfaction. She has been writing poetry from so many years but they were compiled in a diary with no reader until I publish them on my blog. Now she has great talented readers here so she gets so eager to make me post them as soon as possible. All of yours appreciating and encouraging words have made her to pen down poetry again she skipped years before! I want to give a big thanks to Mohinee for organizing such a wonderful contest and to my Special One, Saravana for honoring my granny with such wonderful gifts.

This might not have had happened if Online Shopping was not there. All thanks to Online Shopping for helping to strengthen a pure unfading sweet relationship in the world with my Little One, which cannot be named! I can cherish this memory forever!

I thank BlogAdda for organizing the contest Moment of Madness, for selecting my post as one of the winning post, for offering a gift voucher to shop from Pringoo, which ultimately was my first online shopping (seeing) experience and also for organizing this contest, which has created an opportunity to share a sweet incident happened in my life. I’m wishing hoping to do a memorable online shopping from snapdeal.com as well :)

This post is a part of the contest at BlogAdda.com in association with Snapdeal.com

Happy Teacher's Day

It has been so long since I wrote a post reflecting my life; it was either fiction or poems and dramas all the way. As today is Teacher's Day, I thought of dedicating a Poem to all my teacher's, the reason for my success! However, after reading Rachana Shakyawar’s post on Teacher's Day, inspired me to travel down my memory lane to write about the relationship between Teacher's and me.

ashzzes says: “I wonder you love romance or romance loves you...” Even I wonder the same but one thing I’m confident is, “I love Mathematics and Mathematics loves me!”

The love for numbers started when I’m three. I loved learning 1, 2, 3 instead of A, B, C! When people bought Tables book, I created my own as in image below, as I followed a different logic for everything. I was looking at Mathematics from a different angle, which I only knew and, will know until my last breathe.
The best thing is till my 10th grade, I never missed a centum in Mathematics in Annual Examinations. In fact, I had a weird habit; in Mathematics, I always used to miss at least one or two marks in Mid-Term, Quarterly, Half Yearly or whatever exams that were conducted those days. Because I know if I score centum once in any of these exams, then I’ll become over confident, and the pain of losing one mark will not be there, weird no?

The best gift Mathematics gave to me is my speech in CVRDE Gate Meeting - the moment that made my Dad proud.

The first person who comes to my mind is Phithili Sir. He has coached my elder sister, my younger brother, and my two nieces (her father is the first one to join). I promised I’ll score centum in Mathematics which my sister missed by one mark, and I did. My niece Sathya also did it and she stood State Fifth, the best in our family, earlier my elder sister stood state eleventh! Still I remember the evening after my mathematics, thank you Sir for whatever you taught did in my life. :)

The second person who comes to my mind is Shanmugapriyan Sir. I’m lucky to have him as my Mathematics lecturer in my first, third, and sixth (Numerical Methods) semester. I remember those golden words said by my Sir when I flunked for the first time in my life in Mathematics (Numerical Methods). “You have a fast processing brain and it works faster than 99% of your classmates. Do well” I did well to score 93 Sir :) Thank you Sir, “You are the lion!” as you always say :)

The third person who comes to my mind is Manimeghala Madam. She is my Mathematics Teacher in my tenth grade as my favourite Shaktivel Sir left the school mid-year. The week after she joined our school, she conducted a class test. I was sitting on a bench and my friend Sunderasan was sitting down, and I was observing him, as he was working a sum in a wrong method. Mam caught me asking, ‘Why are you copying from him?’ I was shocked because I did not copy :( My friend Sunderasan said, ‘I may copy from him but he will not. He is the Mathematics king!’ I was the happiest man and from that moment, Mani Mam became close to me. Thank you Mam and Sunderasan!

The love for the subject was also extended to the teachers who handled the subject. This does not mean that I did not like the teachers who handled other subjects; I loved all my teachers!

In fact the list is long – My kindergarten Teachers (Taradevi Teacher, Vijayalakshmi Teacher), My Primary school Teachers (Subbulakshmi Madam, Uma Madam, Vasanthi Teacher), My Secondary school Teachers (Thenmozhi Mam, Santosh Sir, Manimeghala Mam, Anand Sir, Tamizh Ayya, Prithiviraj Sir, Santosh Sir, Jyothi Sir), My UG Professors (Shanmugapriyan, Karthikeyan, Udhay Shankar, Seetha, Vijayalakshmi, Narmada, Ramya, and the list goes on.

How can I forget the trademark lines that my Teachers said... ‘You people will never follow me!’ ‘Is this a class or fish market?’ ‘I do not want to hear any of your excuses.’ ‘This is the worst class or batch I’ve ever seen’ ‘Silence!’ ‘Okay!’ ‘Get out of the class!’ and the list goes on...

Despite all these, they are pillars of this building, without them I’m nothing, though I have talent :) Thank you all!

Memories are like a spider web. If you try to recall an incident, then its related incident will pop out automatically. That’s what happened today!

Happy Teachers Day!

Happy Birthday Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan!

Happy Birthday to my dear friend Karthik!

Happy Wedding Anniversary to my dear friend Yoga and Divya!

The Untold Story of Riti; Strangers, in the Night!

This post won in 'Blog-a-Ton 31' organized by Blog-a-Ton. I thank all the sweet hearts for pushing me to win with their GOLDEN VOTES... Thank you thank you thank you...

This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 31; the thirty-first edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton. The theme for the month is 'Strangers in the Night'

Warning: Please do not watch the video if you are weak-hearted or if you are under 13. Thanks! Kindly use headphones or earphones to experience the real effect of the video. Here you go...

I hope you like the video, if not, I’m sorry :( This is my second attempt to make a video for my blog post, and my first attempt in sound mixing. I did give my best, but my bad, I’m unable to find the sounds I imagined in my mind. I hope next time I will try to better myself. Thanks for your time! The post for you!

The long road was completely empty due to heavy rain. Every strong clap of the thunder increased the heartbeat like a cosine wave. The flashing lights in the sky lighted up the sky from one end to the other, blurring images of the vehicles that buzzed every odd minute. The moist winds were continuously blowing on my face. A ray of hope kept me waiting hoping for the last bus to my hometown, even after half past midnight and I was the only living creature sitting on the bench of silicon city bus stop – the bus stop known for buzzing IT Professionals!

A blurred woman image holding a white colored umbrella was seen at a distance of 100 meters, which came closer and closer each passing second and at last, it was a beautiful girl and she sat next to me at the bus stop. She was wearing a white colored Salwar Kamez. She had a face of an angel. She had worn kajal instead of kohl that added beauty to her powerful eyes. Her nose was drafted perfectly like a triangle. Her perfect pale pink rose bud lips were inviting to kiss them. Her white complexion could put technologies to shame. Her white colored sandals were her pride, I believe. She was hot despite her small faulty tummy; in total, she was an Angel and she mesmerized me!

She was reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and I was reading her lips. PS: Lip reading :P

She was irritated, so she asked, ‘What?’
‘I’m dying of loneliness. Can you please?’ I said smiling.
She smiled broadly for the first time and said, ‘Okay!’
‘Tell me about yourself?’

‘I’m Ritika, working as a Senior Software Engineer. I’m a Facebook addict; in fact, that’s how I met my boyfriend, who happened to share the same corporate tag, and he calls me Riti!’ She said, forgetting to breathe.

I cursed Mr. Zuckerberg and his co-founders of the social networking site Facebook, managing a smile, as it’s rare to meet a girl aloneat night, and that too a heart stealing beauty.

She smiled and asked, ‘Tell me about you!’

‘I’m Siddesh, working as a Senior Executive Engineer. I’m passionate about writing and I write at Few Unsaid Words. I had a girlfriend but my bad we broke up,a month ago :( ’

‘Really? Even we broke up last week :) I realized he is not the right guy and all he wanted was flesh.’ She said with tears, looking down, and she kept silent for the next few minutes.

She asked, ‘Are you still in love with her?’
I smiled and said, ‘It’s time to move on because she is not going to comeback as my life.’

‘I’m sorry! Anyway, move on, because love is not the life, it is just a part of life. But when you love someone; love her heart and not her flesh, okay?’ She said in a demanding voice. I nodded my head because I loved my girl.

The rain started pouring down heavily in all directions and we were drenched completely by the time she opened her umbrella for us. Her inner was completely visible as her white dress became transparent; she looked like an ice cream and I could not stop staring at hers, she was hot!

I wanted to stop staring at hers so I started reading a-day-old newspaper, which I had in my back bag. As usual, the hot news was “Pregnant woman found dead in her flat!”

BANGALORE WORDS
– Bangalore Police officials are trying to determine the cause of a doubtful suicide of a pregnant woman found hanging in her flat, who is working as a software engineer in ABC Enterprises.

‘Am I too hot to handle?’ She asked smiling mischievously!
‘Well, you are damn hot!’ I said, still looking into the paper.
‘Maybe, that’s why Harish always wanted sex I guess,’ she said.
‘Harish! Did she say Harish? Harish and Ritika? What the F!’

I was shocked! I read the same names in the newspaper. Ritika was found dead in her flat. She had committed suicide by hanging and the police suspects that her boyfriend Harish could have murdered and hanged her.

She peeped inside the newspaper, laughing, and said ‘I’m Ritika Chaudhary!’

I fainted!

***

Three hours later, a loud honk helped to open my eyes to greet the wet windy drizzles and I was sitting at the same bus stop with the same newspaper, and a diary titled ‘Strangers in the night’ was on my lap; my heartbeat raced and I fainted again!

***

An hour later, a paperboy woke me up, to check whether I was alive or not. I bought a tea for him to express gratitude but he wanted the tea in exchange of newspaper and he was very sweet. I was sure that he would be a star some day in his life. He advised not to sleep at bus stops and left the place. I opened the newspaper only to read the headline that that Harish was found dead in his house last night.

‘What the F? He is dead?’ I rushed back to room because I wished neither to faint again on road nor to get drenched in rain.

‘Is she dead? Is she a ghost? Did she kill Harish? Is she alive? Why she came to me? What’s her motto? Why did she leave her diary? How can ghost write a diary? C’mon can someone find me an answer?’

I had gone mad, completely. Should I read her diary? Should I read the newspaper? Chill let’s read the Newspaper.

The newspaper confirmed that Ritika and Harish were dead but how did I meet Ritika. Was that my dream? If it was a dream then how did I have her diary in my hand?

The cover of the diary was unique as she had titled her diary, “Strangers in the Night” and the tagline was, “me. my life. my days.”

Even tears could not help. I felt sad! In fact, I wanted to kill Harish, and people like him. Glad Riti, did it!

Dear Riti,
I’m glad I met you! Let your soul rest in peace!
I’ll destroy this diary, as this is yet another untold story; let it be untold!
Stay Blessed!
Sid!

My mobile phone beeped, ‘You’ve a text from Isha!’ I jumped in joy as she texted ‘I miss U :( Please come to Forum Mall by 4 PM, ♥ U'

A Thought: “Love your special ones truly and heartily! Never ditch your better half, and this holds good for both the genders. Live beautifully! PS: Strangers in the night cannot be couples
